Cable Management Settings

Used to set cable quantity, data and how cable details be displayed in Cable Manager.

Backstage: File > Settings > Building > Electrical Setup > Cable Management

Setting	Description
Auto-Cables Scale Factor	Scales all auto-cables generated in Cable Manager. Default = 1. Numbers higher than 1 increases cable lengths; numbers below 1.0 decreases cable lengths (i.e. 1.1 = add 10% percent; .9 = subtract 10%).
Info-Line Scale Factor	Scales all Info-Lines. Default = 1. Numbers higher than 1 increases Info-Line lengths; numbers below 1.0 decreases Info Line lengths (i.e. 1.1 = add 10% percent; .9 = subtract 10%).
Orthogonal auto-cables	When checked, Electrical Application routes cables in orthogonal mode.
Show location in cable manager	Displays location (room name/number) for cables in Cable Manager.
Show device ID in cable manager	Displays information about cable address in Cable Manager.

The Cable Data panel provides cable types and dimension details, where you can manage cable types and amend cable dimensions.

Setting	Description
Cable Types	Lists all available Cable Type in Building Electrical Systems. New — Opens the Cable Type Properties dialog. Enter new Cable Types, by defining the following properties: Code — Enter Cable Code. Cable Type — Enter Cable Type. Cable Category — Select Cable Category. OK — Saves changes for Cable Type. Edit — Opens the Cable Type Properties dialog. Edit Cable Type, by altering above properties. Erase — Erases Cable Type, after confirming `Yes` to the alert prompt.
Cable Dimensions	Lists all Cable Dimension available for Cable Types. New — Opens the Cable Properties dialog. Used to set cable dimension. Dimension — Displays the dimension label, the string can be edited, as required. Diameter — Enter or alter the cable diameter value. Weight — Enter or alter the cable weight. OK — Saves changes for Cable dimension. Edit — Opens the Cable Properties dialog. Used to alter cable dimension. Erase — Erases Cable Dimension, after confirming Yes to the alert prompt.
OK	Saves changes in Cable Management Settings.
